The chapter entitled Bad Blood reflects part of the dead-end Rimbaud had found himself in after the Brussels incident, but also his counter-reaction to the social circumstances of the time. Bad Blood is the evolution of a thought attempting to break free from the restricting chains of the space and time of Rimbaud's defeat after that incident. In a joke Rimbaud himself stages a scene out of which he manically tries to escape... there are still people in Europe that remember him... a joker, half-savage with a sight of freedom... crawling behind a rucksack. In that process the limit between illusion and reality evaporates. ∴ In a pandemonium of sounds and noises of the perpetual everyday arena, the mise-en-scene defines and is absolutely defined by the sound FX and music of the play. Spyros Aravositas designs and drives this soundscape that either follows or is being followed in Rimbaud's journey. Therein poet's words struggle to keep hold of an invisible compass all the way to the end. ∴ We see an unemployed actor, a joker of an undefinable age that resides randomly on the stage of a ruined theater, enjoying it at will. At the same time he's scouting successfully at the "high" meanings of poetry. With all the consequences that this brings along...
